THERMODYNAMICS

AIRFLOW PURITY
There is a lot of stigma around plastic airpaths and purity, but this largely depends on the type of plastic used. The complete air path on the Frolic is 100% insulated from other components and is made entirely from CNC machined PEEK, which is a high performance engineering plastic, known for its exceptional heat and chemical resistance, mechanical strength and excellent dimensional stability and as such, is a prime material of choice for this application. PEEK is the only plastic which is completely inert at these temperatures and displays the same properties as glass but with a few notable advantages such as durability, and the length of air paths which can be achieved.

MODULAR CONSTRUCTION
Limelight was the first to introduce fully modular vape mods almost a decade ago and they have applied this knowledge to the Frolic which is formed from a variety of high-end CNC machined and electro-mechanical components. With its simple, tool-free operation and maintenance, straightforward disassembly/reassembly, and a removable Molicel P50B 21700 battery, the Frolic embodies Limelight’s dedication to longevity and sustainability. The fully serviceable design means every component can be individually replaced, extending lifespan indefinitely. Obsolescence, eliminated.

AIRFLOW CONTROL
A wide airflow range paired with precise temperature regulation ensures an experience tailored to your personal preference. The Frolic offers virtually unlimited airflow thanks to its powerful heater which can’t be overwhelmed, no matter how much air passes through it. A simple rotation of the base of the mouthpiece allows airflow adjustment from zero to 25 l/min while keeping the vape smooth and silent and the output air slowed down, eliminating throat tickle.

SESSION / DEMAND MODES
Session Mode 40-220°C
In session mode, the heater is activated by pressing the on button. The heater will stay on until the on button is pressed again or until the session time is up via the built-in timer. You can enjoy your draws spaced out throughout the session as the herb is kept warm, until you are ready for the next draw.
Demand Mode 40-240°C
In demand mode, the heater is activated by pressing the on button and it will stay on only while the button is pressed. Upon releasing the button, the heater will turn off but retain part of its energy together with the oven, so the next heat-up time is instant. This mode is ideal for those big hits.

FEEDBACK AND NOTIFICATIONS

Screen
The color OLED screen has a simple, straightforward interface and displays vital information such as the set temperature, when the set temperature has been reached, session time in session mode, elapsed draw time in demand mode, battery level, battery charging and the current mode of operation.
Vibration
An array of vibration notifications provide additional feedback about the various states of the device. Vibration notifications can be toggled on or off in the setup menu.
LED
The LED above the on button displays orange when the device is heating up and turns green when the temperature has been reached. It also displays a number of notifications for different states. LED notifications can be toggled on or off in the setup menu.

COOLING UNIT
A powerful heater demands a high performance cooling unit. The total length of the pathways in the cooling unit exceeds 200mm, which guarantees sufficient cooling regardless of the airflow level. Additionally, the 18mm and 14mm water attachments allow a direct connection of the Frolic to a water piece.

EFFORTLESS MAINTENANCE
The cooling chamber is simple to take apart and to clean as there are only 3 parts and the mouthpiece which require cleaning. Only standard Viton O-rings are used and all the parts are dishwasher safe.

LAYOUT
Battery cap
The battery is removable via the battery cap. When the battery is drained, you can either charge it through the USB-C port or simply replace with a fully charged one without having to wait for a recharge.
Replace with the same Molicel P50B 5000mAh 21700 battery or alternative 21700 battery.
Debowler
The Frolic extracts the herb evenly, so there is no stirring involved during use. You can use the supplied pin tool to remove the herb from the oven once it has been fully extracted.
Oven
The oven is made out of 6000 series aluminum and is hard-anodized for a non-stick, safe and durable finish. It holds approximately 1/4 of a gram of herb. It transfers a fraction of the heat from the heater via conduction while the extraction process happens via convection.
Textured body and tube
The body and the heater tube of the Frolic have been textured for a superior look and feel and enhanced heat dissipation.
Battery position
Proper weight distribution is achieved by positioning the battery, as the heaviest component, so it falls into your palm when holding the Frolic. The Frolic was designed to have a low center of gravity so it’s stable when placed on a flat surface and operated or attached directly to a water cooler.
Airflow control
Airflow is adjusted by rotating the knob on the top of the cooling unit.
Standard mouthpiece
The mouthpiece is conveniently placed at the back of the Frolic. It has a wide bore which decreases the velocity of the air before it is being inhaled, thus eliminating throat tickle. It is shaped elliptically to sit comfortably on your lips and can be rotated to any position you find convenient.
Notification LED
Notifies you when the device is heating up with an orange light and with a green one once the set temperature is reached.
On button
The on button is positioned at the appropriate height for thumb firing and has an ideal operating force of 2.5N.
OLED screen
Displays vital information such as the set temperature, when the set temperature has been reached, session time in session mode, elapsed draw time in demand mode, battery level, battery charging and the current mode of operation.
Up/down buttons
Adjust temperature, session time and toggle between modes.
USB-C port
The battery can be charged inside the Frolic via its 2A USB-C charging port, or externally with a Lithium Ion battery charger.

A variety of accessories and replaceable parts are available including a fold-out mouthpiece, water pipe adapters in 14mm and 18mm, silicone o-rings, mesh screens and more.

WARRANTY TERMS
Limelight devices are warranted to the original owner against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years. If a Limelight device fails due to a manufacturing defect, Limelight Mechanics will repair the product, without charge, or replace it, at their discretion. Only original, unmodified materials and workmanship are covered by this policy. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear and tear*, or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use.
*Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Regardless of how carefully you use, or how well you care for your Limelight Mechanics product, it will eventually begin to show age and wear. Common examples of wear and tear that would not be covered under the warranty include abrasions from rubbing when you use the product and general breakdown of the materials over the years. Damage not covered under warranty may be repaired for a reasonable rate plus shipping fees.
